They are optimized for the visualization and manipulation of different types of complex data such as 3D mechanical design, engineering simulation (e.g. computational fluid dynamics), animation and rendering of images, and mathematical plots.

Consoles consist of a high resolution display, a keyboard and a mouse at a minimum, but also offer multiple displays, graphics tablets, 3D mice (devices for manipulating and navigating 3D objects and scenes), etc. Workstations are the first segment of the computer market to present advanced accessories and collaboration tools.

    The most important fact to remember with a CWS Extended Service Plan is that it is comprised of two components that separate it from any other Plan on the market today.


    First, PROACTIVE PREVENTION! The CWS Active Remote Hardware Monitoring is the first line of defense that will detect and automatically report most hardware problems before they become hardware failures. This software creates a one way communication from your PC to the CWS technical center and reports only information about the performance of you hardware component parts and certain software operations such as antivirus, firewall, and utility functions.


    Also, Workstation security is another extremely important line of defense in preventing damage to both your hardware but more importantly you personal and confidential data. The security software included with the CWS Premium Extended Service Plan provides a personal firewall, antivirus, antimalware, and antispyware protection; and if your computer becomes infected with this software activated, CWS will cleanse your computer and get you back up and operational at no additional cost.


    Second, REACTIVE REPAIR! When a problem does occur the CWS 24/7/365 Technical Help Desk Support provides diagnosis of hardware malfunctions such as non functioning hard drives, power supplies, main boards, processors, RAM memory and other hardware or limited O/S issues. Remote access is available for issues that require the direct intervention of the Help Desk Technician. When a problem is diagnosed and cannot be corrected by the Help Desk Technician a replacement part will be ordered and sent for next business day delivery to the location of the computer and once receipt of part is confirmed a certified field technician will perform the repair onsite, and get the hardware operational; this coverage includes all required replacement part(s), part(s) shipping, and repair labor.


    Basic software support includes the operating system and basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer) software. CWS believes it is wise to always have current external or off-site backup of all data.


    Next Business Day Onsite Repair Service provides replacement of hardware component parts; which are malfunctioning or have failed. This service is provided on normal business days and normal business hours (Monday thru Friday 8AM to 5:30PM; all national, state, and local holidays excluded). Any parts required to repair the computer are shipped overnight (delivery is always set for early delivery usually by or before 10:30AM) and will be delivered to the address on the Service Plan unless other arrangements have been made and approved by CWS to provide service at an alternate location.
